To Honour Their Precious, Short Lives

Aidan & Donnachas Wings is an initiative of the Rotunda Hospital made possible through the generosity and compassion of parents Ellie Curran and Shane Ó Foghlú whos two sons Aidan and Donnacha were born alive at 23 weeks in the Autumn of 2015. They looked so perfect but came into this world too early.

To remember their sons and to help other parents in a similar situation, Ellie and Shane then raised a phenomenal €30,000 in 2016 that enabled the Rotunda to fund and launch ‘Aidan & Donnacha’s Wings’ offering every bereaved parent where possible a very special gift of ceramic framed prints of their babys’ hand and foot prints.

To date ‘Aidan & Donnacha’s Wings’ has helped the immediate pain and suffering of many families who have lost their baby’s.

We are asking you to help us to thank Ellie, Shane and their family by making a donation in honour of Aidan, Donnacha and all the precious short lives this initiative has supported.

Thank you for your support.

“There is no footprint too small that it cannot leave an imprint in this world”

Today Aidan and Donnacha’s ceramic prints are joined by their new sister Éabha born in 2016 and brother Rían born in 2018.  Eleanor tells us ‘Aidan and Donnacha’s Wings take pride of place in our house and will always be at the heart of our family’
